It Is audition time at the EMSB Chorale

The Chorale starts its 46^th season on September 6 and welcomes students who love to sing and who are interested in developing their vocal and musical skills.

For students from Grades 4 to Sec. V in all voice ranges. Rehearsals are held at Royal Vale School.

Auditions on September 3, 6, 13 and 20 – the sooner, the better!

The EMSB Chorale is a special project of the Educational Services Department. The chorale offers students the opportunity to acquire vocal and musical training, to perform a wide variety of music and to gain professional concert experience. This is the first audition call. Students will also be able to audition in late August and in September. 

Three Ways to Audition:   

1. On August 26 or September 3 by appointment
2. At an audition session in your school arranged by your principal.
3. At a Saturday morning rehearsal on September 6, 13, 20 (the sooner, the better!).

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Rehearsals start Saturday, September 6 and take place in Royal Vale School Auditorium, 5851 Somerled Ave. (use Draper St. auditorium entrance)
• Junior Chorale (Gr. 4-5-6): Saturdays from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon
• Senior Chorale (High School/boys with changed voices): Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. AND Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
• Senior Chorale (High School/boys with changed voices): Saturdays from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
