The school governing board is a component of the education reform and came into being with the establishment of linguistic school boards in 1998. Comprised of an elected chair, vice-chair and secretary as well as parents, administrators, teachers, and student representatives, the governing board is a parent-school partnership that works towards the primary goal of making decisions that benefit our students. Every member has the same goal, which is to promote student success.
At Sinclair Laird Elementary School, there is a strong parent partnership. They are involved in the Governing Board, the Parents` Committee that is involved in fundraising activities and volunteering in all special event school activities.
