Important Message for Parents of Sinclair Laird Students

Dear Parents,

I hope that this letter finds you well in this trying time.

Please also read the attached letter from the Quebec Minister of Education, which I received a short time ago,  and please be advised that the school is expected to open on May 19^th, 2020.

The return is optional and gradual,  meaning parents can respectfully choose to keep their children home if they prefer and that schools will only stay open if they are deemed to be safe.

Services for those students who stay home will continue to be provided and no child’s promotion –if they are already in good standing - is at risk if they do.

Some services will not be available but there will be daycare as usual.  Bussing is not guaranteed at this time and it is recommended children come by foot or other means of transport.

No one will be admitted to the school prior to May the 19^th but the office will be open for telephone inquiries as of May 4^th.

All extra-curricular events, activities, celebrations are postponed or cancelled but we will try to keep the children busy and, within prescribed limits, outdoors as much as possible.
