Sinclair Laird Elementary School to Host Community Open House on April 27th

Sinclair Laird Elementary School, the only bilingual elementary school in Park-Extension, is pleased to announce an upcoming Open House event designed to strengthen connections between the school, families, and the surrounding community.

Led by the school principal, this initiative aims to foster stronger relationships with community organizations and local businesses while increasing awareness among parents and staff of the resources available in the neighborhood. By creating a space for dialogue and collaboration, the school hopes to build lasting partnerships that support students and families alike.

The Open House will take place on April 27th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, during the school’s professional development day. The event will bring together community organizations, local businesses, school staff, and parents in a welcoming and relaxed setting.

Participants are invited to take part in a café matcha–style experience, where parents and staff can learn more about community services while enjoying a warm beverage. The friendly atmosphere is intended to encourage conversation and connection. In addition, a kindergarten workshop activity will be offered, providing an engaging experience for young children during the event.

Community organizations and local partners are warmly invited to attend and are encouraged to send one or two representatives to participate. Those interested are asked to confirm their participation as soon as possible so a spot can be reserved. Further details will be shared with confirmed participants closer to the event date.

L’école primaire Sinclair Laird organise une journée portes ouvertes communautaire

L’école primaire Sinclair Laird, la seule école bilingue du quartier Park-Extension, est heureuse d’annoncer la tenue prochaine d’une journée portes ouvertes visant à renforcer les liens entre l’école, les familles et la communauté environnante.

Sous l’impulsion de la direction, cette initiative a pour objectif de favoriser de nouvelles collaborations avec les organismes communautaires et les entreprises locales, tout en faisant mieux connaître aux parents et au personnel les ressources disponibles à proximité de l’école. L’événement s’inscrit dans une volonté de créer des partenariats durables au bénéfice des élèves et de leurs familles.

La journée portes ouvertes aura lieu le 27 avril, de 10 h à 14 h, lors de la journée de perfectionnement professionnel de l’école. Elle réunira organismes communautaires, entreprises locales, personnel scolaire et parents dans une ambiance conviviale et accueillante.

Un événement de type café matcha sera proposé, permettant aux parents et aux membres du personnel de découvrir les services offerts par les partenaires communautaires tout en partageant une boisson chaude. Une activité d’atelier destinée aux enfants d’âge préscolaire sera également organisée afin d’enrichir l’expérience des familles présentes.
